Hands-on 3D modeling and reconstruction from drone imagery, laser scanning, and structure-from-motion techniques.
GNSS & Precision Positioning
Practical exposure to GPS, RTK, and satellite navigation for accurate field surveying and geospatial data collection.
LiDAR & 3D Scanning
Experience high-resolution terrain mapping, point cloud processing, and 3D modeling for real-world geomatics applications.
Cartography & Visualization
Design modern maps, visualize geospatial data creatively, and communicate spatial information effectively.
Our Journey
2016 - Foundation
Geomatics Engineering Society (GES) was established by a small group of passionate geomatics students aiming to build a collaborative learning community within the department.
2017-2019 - Growth & Activities
GES grew steadily, organizing workshops, field surveys, guest lectures, and student projects. More students joined to explore GIS, remote sensing, UAV mapping, and surveying techniques.
2020-2022 - Student Projects & Innovation
Members engaged in departmental research projects, mapping initiatives, competitions, and hands-on geomatics applications, strengthening skills and collaboration.
2023-Present - Active Community
GES continues to nurture student-led projects, workshops, and field activities. The society has become a hub for learning, innovation, and mentorship within the geomatics department.
Our Community & Project Impact
Our members actively engage in projects, competitions, and field activities that apply geomatics skills to real-world problems. From mapping local terrains to environmental monitoring and community-based initiatives, we create meaningful learning experiences and contribute to our department and society.
